KUWAIT CITY, June 29: A new-born baby girl was found alive near Al-Rumaithiya Cooperative Society by a citizen, while inside a plastic bag. Acting on information, a team of securitymen with paramedics rushed to the scene and the baby still alive. She was referred to Mubarak Hospital. Detectives have since opened an investigation to identify the parents

Rotten fish seized: Personnel from the Kuwait Municipality during one of their inspection campaigns on shops and markets in Mubarakiya are said to have confiscated 15 kilos of spoiled fish and issued 16 citations for not abiding by hygiene rules and other regulations, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

‘Magician’ robs man: A Kuwaiti citizen has filed a complaint with the Fahaheel Police Station accusing a female black magician of taking all his money, reports Al-Rai daily. The complainant said he withdrew KD 1,000 from a bank branch when an unidentified veiled woman approached him and spoke some strange words. He then handed to her the KD 1,000 which he had withdrawn from the bank and another KD 250 which he had on his person. He added, when he came to his senses, the woman had disappeared
