Syrian woman accused of theft Juvenile thieves held

KUWAIT CITY, June 29: A 31-year old Syrian woman has been invited for questioning by security operatives over allegations of stealing foodstuffs prepared for the Holy month of Ramadan from the house of her ex-husband in Mubarak Al-Kabeer, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, a retired police officer with the rank of brigadier lodged a complaint against his ex-wife whom he accused of stealing foodstuffs from his home by using a duplicate key. Securitymen managed to identify the location of the ex-wife using GPS technology. She was arrested in front of her home in Jahra area. She denied the accusation but police are still questioning her. Meanwhile, police arrested three Kuwaiti juveniles —17 and 18 years old for breaking into cars and stealing the contents, reports Al- Anba daily. Ahmadi policemen on routine duty suspected three persons in a car and monitored them. Suddenly, two of them alighted from the vehicle and started breaking the glass of a car parked nearby. They took off when police approached them, but they were chased and arrested and referred to the Criminal Investigation Department.

Drug peddler held: Officers from the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) arrested an Arab man for trafficking in drugs with an undisclosed quantity of hashish in his possession. In a press statement, the Interior Ministry revealed the department received information from a reliable source that the Arab is into drug trading. The officers then obtained a search and arrest warrant, leading to a raid in the suspect’s apartment. During the raid, the officers found hashish in the apartment and the suspect admitted to possessing the narcotic substance for trading purposes. The suspect was referred to the relevant security department for questioning and other legal action
