‘Disagreements’ on amending Law 7/2010 lead to squabbles Chamber of commerce conducting study

KUWAIT CITY, June 29: Disagreements between the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Kuwait Stock Market Authority on the topic of amending Law No. 7/2010 is leading to squabbles between the MPs and commissioners of the body, which also raises many questions as to the sector escaping accountability in its decisions and expenses, reports Al-Shahed daily.

Sources said the chamber of commerce is currently conducting a study on the proposed amendment to the aforementioned law, as it needs serious concentration to avoid constitutional mistakes and further errors for the second time.

Meanwhile, sources stressed the decision of the National Assembly to reduce the work duration of the commissioners from 5 years to 4 years could lead to reinstatement of a new board of commerce by the end of August, and possibly the exclusion of the current chairperson Saleh Al-Falah.
