Body-building steroids can lead to impotency: report Ban on camels export lifted

KUWAIT CITY, June 27: Those frequenting health clubs to boost their personal image are warned against taking any kinds of hormones steroids which according to reliable medical experts are harmful to health and can even cause infertility and impotency among users, reports Al-Shahed daily. It has been reported several youths have complained of side effects following which the Ministry of Interior has decided to take serious measures against people promoting these products in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs through surprise inspection campaigns at places where these substances are being used.

Meanwhile, the Board Chairperson of the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources Nabila Al- Khalil has issued a decision to lift a ban on the export of camels on condition the animals will not be allowed to re-enter Kuwait if not accompanied by a health certificate issued by a veterinary to prove the animal is not infected with any virus, reports Al-Anba daily.

The chairperson mentioned it is necessary that all shipments are tied to rules and regulations issued by the Animals Health Department based on procedures followed by the GCC countries and the Kuwaiti quarantine authorities to prevent the any type of harmful virus affecting the livestock inside Kuwait. In another development, the Kuwait Stock Market Authority said a report has been submitted to the Stock Market Prosecution on June 24, 2014 about suspicious activity in violation of Article 122 of the Law No 7/2010 involving shares of the National Bank of Kuwait, reports Al- Shahed daily.

The shares of the bank reportedly ended the session on a stable note at 970 fils per share on June 24 and June 25, while the same shares ended the session of June 26 with a percentage 1.03% at 960 fils.

Based on instructions issued by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and Board Chairman of the Police Officers Club Lieutenant-General Suleiman Al-Fahd, the Police Officers Club organized a trip to Umm Al-Maradem Island, in coordination with the Kuwait Coastal Guard, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
