KUWAIT CITY, June 22: Head of Information and Health Awareness Committee for Corona Virus in the Ministry of Health Dr Ghaliya Al- Mutairi disclosed the national campaign team has distributed about 100 thousand copies of the action plan for fighting corona virus, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

The plan involves the procedure of treatment, transfer and diagnosing suspected cases by doctors and other health workers in primary care health centers and the casualty units of private and government hospitals. In a press release, Al-Mutairi noted the committee has set a day for the directors of each health zone to visit and answer questions. She also said simplified copies of the action plan endorsed by the Health Ministry’s high technical committee based on the recommendation of the sector minister have been distributed to the doctors and other health workers for guidance in dealing with suspected cases of the infection.

Meanwhile, fifty-nine percent of respondents in the online poll conducted recently by Al-Seyassah daily are in favor of privatizing the health sector to improve medical services and reduce pressure on public hospitals. On the other hand, 40 percent of the respondents voiced objection to the proposal, warning that privatization will increase treatment cost; thereby, adding to the financial burdens of the people especially the low and medium income earners. They pointed out many citizens and residents will be deprived of their right to undergo treatment at lower cost once the proposal is approved. Moreover, one percent of the respondents declined to comment on the proposal
