Several expats held in security crackdown Transvestite, 2 girls among 7 held in party raid

 A team of Special Task Force officers arrested 19 Asians in a security crackdown in Murghab. The campaign, which was launched recently in collaboration with Kuwait Municipality and Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, was headed by Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Abdulfattah Al-Ali. Some of those arrested were selling pornographic films while others were proven to have violated the Residency Law. All those arrested were referred to the relevant security department for the necessary legal action.

Meanwhile Security operatives from the Immigration Department launched an intensive campaign against violators of labor law, especially those who work for other sponsors, and apprehended scores of expatriates. They have since been referred to relevant authorities, reports Al- Watan Arabic daily.

Transvestite, 2 girls among 7 held in party raid: Armed with warrant issued by the public prosecution, Hawalli securitymen raided an apartment in Salmiya and arrested 7 Kuwaitis, 4 youths, 2 girls and a transvestite for causing inconvenience to tenants in the building by playing loud music. Police found the 7 persons high on alcohol and in possession of 3 bottles of whisky. They were referred to the Criminal Investigation Department
