Remains of Pakistani found with 7 stab wounds; Egyptian dies Kuwaiti held over KD 14,000 financial case

KUWAIT CITY, June 21: The body of a Pakistani was found in an under construction building in Dajeej. Securitymen rushed to the location after the Operations Room at the Interior Ministry received information on the incident. Upon reaching the area, the officers saw the Pakistani’s body which was chained and had marks of seven stab wounds. Fingerprints were lifted from the crime scene and the Pakistani’s remains were referred to Forensics. Investigations are ongoing to unravel the ministry behind the Pakistani’s death. Meanwhile, an Egyptian worker met his end in a tragic incident in Wafra, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The victim was fixing hydraulic system of a crane when it fell on his body and crushed him.

 Citizen held over KD 14,000: Special duty squad arrested a Kuwaiti citizen wanted for financial offense worth KD 14,000. The suspect had been sentenced in absentia to three years in prison with hard labor, reports Al- Watan Arabic daily. Security sources said the suspect was driving along a street in Abu Halifa when the police stopped him for checking and found hashish, shabu, drug consuming tools, and a knife in his car.

Iraqi held with drug pills: An Iraqi man has been arrested for trafficking in narcotic tablets, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The man was driving in Subiya area when he aroused suspicion of patrolmen on duty. The officers seized 304 narcotic tablets and 4,000 US dollars before referring him to the Drug Control General Department.

‘Renew my residency’: The police are looking for the person (s) who helped recruit an Asian on forged documents after the Asian went to a Kuwaiti’s house in Jabriya area and asked for renewal of his residency, reports Al- Anba daily. The Kuwaiti man was surprised when the Asian expatriate knocked on his door and asked him to renew his residency, but the Kuwaiti later understood that somebody had forged his documents after the Asian presented his Civil ID proving he was truly on his sponsorship.

Cashier held with drugs: An Egyptian cashier in a branch of Riqqa Cooperative Society was arrested by Ahmadi securitymen for selling narcotic tablets known in the market as “Farawla” (strawberry) to students of high schools, reports Al-Rai daily. Securitymen rushed to the location and arrested the cashier. Sources said he seemed very confused when the police approached him and seized the tablets in his possession.

  Jihadist killed?: Several activists and tweeters have posted on the social networking sites that Kuwaiti citizen Ibrahim Al-Farsi was killed while fighting in the ongoing battle between Iraqi army and the militants of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, also known as “DAESH” but no Kuwaiti or Iraqi official has come out to confirm or deny the report, reports al-Seyassah daily. Tweeters also claim that another Kuwaiti Hamad Al-Oushn was killed with Al-Farsi. However, several news sites said Al-Oushn was a Saudi national and he was killed in a suicide bombing at Al-Kazimiyah district in Iraq a few days ago. Iraqi authorities have since confirmed the participation of hundreds of individuals from the Gulf region in DAESH, the daily indicated.
