Over 100 illegal expats held Raids in Jahra, Al-Rai

KUWAIT CITY, June 19: Jahra securitymen conducted another surprise inspection campaign against those who violated the laws of Kuwait. The campaign led to the arrest of eight expatriates found to have violated the Residency Law; as well as the recovery of a stolen vehicle, issuance of 43 traffic citations and impounding of eight vehicles.

According to a reliable security source, the officers established five checkpoints in various locations in the governorate in a bid to track down criminals. He said such a campaign is part of ongoing efforts to guarantee public safety and pursue criminals. Meanwhile, during a crackdown on vice and violators of law, the Night Squad from the Al- Jahra Security Department have arrested 49 people for violating residence and labor laws, 25 reckless motorists and to people who had been sentenced in absentia, reports Al-Rai daily.

The suspects have been referred to the concerned authorities. And, personnel from the General Immigration Department during a crackdown on residence and labor laws violators in Al-Rai are said to have arrested 76 people, reports Al- Rai daily. The suspects have been handed over to the concerned authorities.
