5 Filipinas held Man absolved of having drugs

KUWAIT CITY, June 13: The Hawalli police have arrested five Filipino women for violating residence laws, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the women were caught by a police patrol. They were picked up at random while roaming the streets of Hawalli. They have been referred to the concerned authorities. Meanwhile, the Ahmadi police during a security campaign inn Mahboula and Fahaheel have arrested 55 people for violating residence and labor laws, reports Al-Rai daily. All those arrested have been referred to the concerned authorities

Man absolved of having drugs: The Criminal Court presided over by Judge Hesham Abdullah acquitted a citizen of possessing Tramadol and other narcotic substances. Apparently, the prosecuting officer while on regular duty in Hawalli Square saw the suspect inside a vehicle at a parking lot and asked for his civil ID. The officer observed that the suspect was becoming jittery, so he led him to the patrol to search his clothes and found drug substances hidden in the trousers. The officer went ahead to conduct a search inside the vehicle and found 70 tablets of Tramadol in a bag. He referred the suspect to the concerned authority for necessary action. In the meantime, Attorney Mohammed Khalil Al-Qattan argued that the procedure of arrest and search of his client was illegal, urging the court must clear him of all charges.
