Kuwaiti trio in drug-peddling

KUWAIT CITY, June 11: A team of anti-narcotics officers have arrested three Kuwaitis for trading in drugs with one-and-a-half kilogram of hashish, a quarter kilo of ‘ice’ drugs, other narcotic substances, Kalashnikov and ammunition in their possession, reports Al-Seyassah daily. Acting on a tip-off, the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) immediately formed a team of officers to put the suspects under surveillance in compliance with the directives of Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major General Abdul Hameed Al-Awadi and Major General Saleh Al-Ghanam.

After verifying the information, the officers obtained the necessary warrants to arrest the suspects. They raided a livestock pen where the abovementioned items were discovered and this resulted in the arrest of the three citizens. A case was registered and the suspects, along with the confiscated items, were referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
