Car color altered; Cafes raided

KUWAIT CITY, June 11: Two youths were apprehended by Jahra security officers for driving a stolen vehicle, says Al-Seyassah. Security sources said the suspects were in possession of a drug substance during arrest, and changed the color of the vehicle to green. They were referred to the concerned authority for necessary action. They noted the operation was conducted under the directives of Jahra Security Chief Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah.

Cafes raided: Personnel from the General Immigration Department Monday night raided several cafés in Salmiya under direct supervision of the Assistant Undersecretary for Nationality and Passports Affairs Major-General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah. He was accompanied by Director- General of Immigration Security Department Major- General Ghazi Al-Maei, reports Al-Rai daily. The campaign resulted in the arrest of 70 residence law violators and 13 others who were wanted by law in connection with various types of crimes.
