‘Drugged’ girl dumped near hospital

KUWAIT CITY, June 11: An unidentified girl has been admitted in the Intensive Care Unit of Mubarak Hospital due to drug overdose. According to security sources, some cleaners around the clinic noticed some unknown individuals pull out a disoriented girl from a vehicle and driving away after leaving her on the ground in the parking lot of the clinic.

They immediately notified the in-charge officer of the clinic who contacted the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior after which securitymen rushed to the location. When medical examinations revealed that she had overdosed on drugs, she was rushed to Mubarak Hospital where she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit. Securitymen recorded the statements from the cleaners and obtained the description of the vehicle, based on which investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspects.

Kuwaiti held: A Kuwaiti citizen, who was wanted by law for a number of cases, was arrested in Jahra area for driving a stolen ‘Range Rover’ vehicle. According to security sources, Jahra securitymen were patrolling the area when they noticed a ‘Range Rover’ with two different number plates. They immediately arranged for an officer dressed in civilian clothes to follow him in an ordinary vehicle. After a while, the disguised officer requested the suspect to stop and asked for directions to the main Jahra Cooperative Society. At that time, securitymen arrived and surrounded the suspect. After questioning the suspect, securitymen discovered that he had stolen the vehicle from Sabahiya area. Checking his details, they discovered he is a Kuwaiti citizen who was wanted by law for a number of cases and was issued a sentence of three-year imprisonment. He was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
