Filipina Maid flees with big number of gold ornaments: sponsor

KUWAIT CITY, June 11: A Kuwaiti woman has lodged a complaint against a Filipina housemaid who allegedly stole three gold rings, gold bangles and necklaces from her and then ran away to an unknown area in Rumaithiya.

The complainant called the Operations Room at the Interior Ministry when she discovered several pieces of jewelry were missing and the housemaid was nowhere to be found. Officers from the Criminal Evidence Department lifted fingerprints and took a detailed description of the suspect to start the search operations.

Copies of the housemaid’s description have been distributed to all police patrols and border checkpoints to arrest the suspect. In an unrelated incident, a Kuwaiti man called Sabahiya Police Station to report a burglary, disclosing unknown persons forcibly entered his house and carted away valuable items.

The Kuwaiti told police the burglary happened while he and his family were outside. He said the suspects took three luxury bags that belonged to his wife and one of the bags contained her civil ID and bank cards. Acase was registered and the officers have taken the required steps to arrest the thieves.
