Bedouns held with 6 kilos drugs

 KUWAIT CITY, June 10: Two Bedoun men were arrested in possession of six kilograms of hashish. According to security sources, when the Directorate General for Drug Control received information about a Bedoun youth involved in drug peddling, a team was formed for investigations. After confirming the information and receiving a warrant, they arrested him and raided his apartment to find 500 grams of hashish.

During interrogations, he revealed that he obtained the drugs from a Bedoun man. He guided securitymen to the second suspect’s house where they arrested him and checked the house to find 5.5 kilograms of hashish.

Both suspects were referred with the drugs to the concerned authorities for further investigations. Meanwhile, four unknown youths intentionally hit a patrol vehicle affiliated to Jahra Security Directorate in an attempt to help their friend escape after the latter who is a wanted criminal was arrested, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

According to security sources, Jahra securitymen were patrolling the area when they stopped a vehicle for routine checking. However, when they discovered that the driver of the vehicle was wanted by law for a criminal case, they arrested him and placed him in the patrol vehicle. After few minutes, another vehicle with four occupants rushed to the location and crashed into the patrol vehicle, causing the vehicle’s left window to shatter. They fled from the location before the suspect in the vehicle could escape. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the four suspects.
