Governor Al Amir cuts the tape to officially inaugurate the new Warba Bank in Jahra
Warba Bank opens new branch in Jahra Bid to widen customer base

KUWAIT CITY, June 9: Aiming to cover as much ground as possible and widen its customer base, Warba Bank commissioned on Monday their biggest branch in Kuwait in the heart of the Jahra municipality. The new branch which was opened under the auspices of his Excellency Dr Abdulmohsen Al-Medaij — The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce and Industry, is the seventh and latest of Warba Bank branches in Kuwait, in line with the bank’s expansion strategy of attracting and making banking facilities available to a larger segment of the population. The commissioning was led by the governor of Jahra Fahad AlAmir representing the deputy Prime Minister. Jassar Dakheel Al Jassar — Vice Chairman & CEO of Warba Bank as well as a number of other officials of the bank were also present.

Commenting on the launch, Al Jassar said Warba Bank’s expansion strategy is a testament to its commitment to enhancing its geographic and qualitative presence as a local leading institution in the Islamic banking sector. This, he added, is achievable through the adoption of the highest standards of efficiency to cater for the requirements of the banking sector in light of a modern vision that is compatible with the provisions of the Islamic Sharia as well as Warba Bank’s strategy. “The new branch marks its strategic location being at the center of Jahra’s most important commercial area — Marzouq Al Met’eb Street; the main street, which is easily accessible from anywhere within Jahra. It is evident that Jahra is a vibrant location that includes a large segment of Kuwait residents, hence, the branch is fully ready to provide them with our banking products and services”, he noted.

Concluding, Al Jassar further noted that “The opening of Jahra branch is a remarkable milestone in Warba Bank’s history as well as also a testament to the bank’s successful expansion strategy aimed at building a network of branches covering all governorates of Kuwait. Through Jahra branch, customers can get unique banking services including opening of various types of bank accounts, creating banking deposits, getting different types of globally accepted banking cards, like ATM cards, credit cards and Prepaid cards, in addition to the financing solutions reaching KD 70 thousand for construction financing and KD 15 thousand for consumer financing, as well as Qardh Hasan of up to KD 1,500, which is provided, free of profit, sub-charges and administrative charges, for Warba customers of Kuwaiti and GCC nationals upon transferring their salaries to Warba.”
