MP praises Amir for granting citizenship to ex-Amiri guards Speaker hailed for solving housing crisis

KUWAIT CITY, June 8: National Assembly Comptroller MP Saoud Al-Hureij praised the remarkable step taken by HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah to grant citizenship to guards who were part of the security convoy of HH the late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad, reports Al-Seyassah daily. In a recent press statement, Al-Hureij revealed he is still hopes for the naturalization of others who sacrificed for the country. He pointed out the decision of the Amir clearly manifests his appreciation for the performance and role played by the security convoy members. He said this action should be followed by the naturalization of others who rendered dedicated service to the country, such as those who participated in the Liberation and other Arab wars under the flag of Kuwait.

Meanwhile, MP Nabel A-Fadel has presented a proposal to renovate and manage public toilets or washrooms through the B.O.T. system. He emphasized the need to put the project up for bidding to companies specialized in the renovation of these facilities with modern designs, tools and equipment; in addition to continuous surveillance to guarantee cleanliness at all times. Meanwhile, the committee for investigating violations in the stock market authority has asked for extending its operation period for two months as of June 13, after the National Assembly agreed on forming a committee in its May 13 session to fill leading positions in the stock market authority and then submit a report in that regard within one month, reports Al-Shahid daily. Earlier, the committee met the Minister of Commerce and Industry with some leaders of the authority to discuss the issue at hand
