Kuwaiti man wanted in KD 17,000 financial case lands in police net Stolen motors found in abandoned vehicle

KUWAIT CITY, June 7: A Kuwaiti citizen wanted for a financial case worth KD 17,000 was arrested and referred to the Sentences Enforcement Department, reports Al-Anba daily. The citizen had gone to Jahra police station to file a complaint against a compatriot whom he accused of swindling and the police discovered he was wanted while checking his records.

Meanwhile, a vehicle that was stolen from Farwaniya area was found in Taima area, reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting security sources. They explained that Jahra securitymen were patrolling Taima area when they suspected an individual driving the vehicle and demanded him to stop.

However, the suspect jumped out of the vehicle and ran away. When securitymen checked the details of the vehicle, they discovered that it was reported as stolen from Farwaniya. Fingerprints were lifted to identify and arrest the suspect who stole the vehicle.

Meanwhile, Jahra securitymen stopped four unknown individuals from stealing from a camp in Al-Salmi area but they managed to escape in a vehicle without a number plate after abandoning another. Securitymen found two motors and ten rabbits inside the abandoned vehicle.

The vehicle was referred to the concerned authorities and a case was registered for investigations. In the meantime, police are looking for a burglar who broke into a shop in Jaber Al-Ali and escaped with electrical appliances worth KD 500, reports Al-Anba daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.

Car thieves arrested: Ahmadi securitymen arrested four people for driving off with several cars, reports Al-Rai daily. Securitymen managed to identify the first suspect who was later arrested inside his home at Adan area. He guided the police to his partners in crime. They all admitted to stealing 13 cars and were referred to the public prosecution.

Meanwhile, a Bedoun youth was arrested by Jahra securitymen for stealing a car parked along the Sixth Ring Road, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The suspect is said to have lifted the car from the roadside to his house in Sulaibiya area, where he dismantled it and sold as spare parts. Following a complaint lodged by the owner of the car, the police conducted an intensive search and found the already dismantled car. The suspect was arrested and referred for investigation.
