Mutilated remains of Asian found dumped in Sulaibikhat Yemeni pays human trafficker cash to cross Kuwait border

KUWAIT CITY, June 6: The mutilated remains of a victim in torn clothes believed to be of Asian nationality were found behind the Sulaibikhat Club. Security personnel from the Capital have since opened an investigation to determine the cause of death. A security source said a Kuwaiti passerby discovered the corpse and notified the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry and security operatives went to the scene. Initial investigation revealed that the victim had been slain while his clothes were torn. The officers found no personal documents to identify him and suspected that his documents were taken away. The remains were referred to Forensics and a case was registered.

Yemeni arrested: A Yemeni youth was arrested in Jahra area for illegally migrating to Kuwait in 2010 through Salmi border checkpoint from Saudi Arabia. According to security sources, Jahra securitymen were patrolling the area when they stopped a youth and asked him for his identification documents. However, the youth revealed that he did not have any such documents except an election card in his name which was issued from Republic of Yemen. When securitymen asked him for his passport, he revealed that he did not have one, as he had entered Kuwait illegally with the help of a human trafficker by paying him SAR 1,000. He explained that he used to work in Saudi Arabia in very difficult condition. He met a Saudi citizen to whom he explained his situation. The citizen took him to Hafar Al-Batin city and convinced him to pay SAR 1,000 to a human trafficker to take him to Kuwait where he can earn well as a beggar. The trafficker managed to help him enter Kuwait through the Salmi border checkpoint without attracting the attention of the securitymen. The youth was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him. Securitymen found in his possession an ‘IPhone’, another mobile phone and KD 1.750
