Filipino masseur kidnapped

KUWAIT CITY, June 3:  Police are looking for three people for kidnapping a Filipino masseur, detained him in an apartment for three days and stealing his cell phone and KD 25, reports al-Shahed daily. The daily added, according to the victim the suspects said they wanted massage and he obliged, the trio detained him. When the Filipino threatened to commit suicide they took him to an unidentified location and drove off. The Filipino has provided police with the numbers plate of their vehicle.

Famous eatery shut: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has administratively shut down a well-known restaurant and referred the file to the Public Prosecution, reports Al-Kuwaitiah daily quoting knowledgeable sources. According to the same sources, the restaurant was closed after the inspectors found large quantities of spoiled foodstuffs. The owner of the restaurant has threatened to file a lawsuit and claim compensation for damaging the reputation of the restaurant. He added, no food unfit for human consumption was found on the restaurant premises.
