Ooredoo gives customers a ‘chance’ to meet Messi Superstar judges online competition

KUWAIT CITY, June 1: Ooredoo in Kuwait announced a competition where customers get the chance to meet in person the football superstar Lionel Messi in Barcelona. This comes as part of the company’s campaign in fulfilling people’s wants. Head of communications, brand and customer experience Riham Al-Ayyar explained: “As a community-based campaign, we feel committed to the people we serve. We want to fulfil their wants, and one thing that many people wanted is to meet Leo Messi. We’re giving them a chance to fly to Barcelona and meet him,” she explained. Al Ayyar mentioned that this is just the beginning of fulfilling people’s wants.

In order to win, competitors must impress the football superstar with their skills by uploading a video of them showing off their football talent. Videos should be uploaded on (www. and on Instagram using the hashtag #MeetMessi. Al-Ayyar explained: “On the 17th of July, the winner will be selected by Messi himself”  Leo Messi is Ooredoo Group Ambassador. Also, the Group has a partnership with the Leo Messi Foundation, which has seen Ooredoo bring mobile health clinics to towns and villages in Indonesia.
