Four young Kuwaitis held in e-theft of huge money

KUWAIT CITY, May 29: Personnel from the e-money crimes department have arrested four Kuwaitis - three of them unemployed -who stole the data of foreign credit cards used in Kuwait and stole KD 105,000, reports Al-Rai daily.

The arrest came after an official of a local bank filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor regarding the suspect sale process particularly some purchases were worth KD 10,000 and this raised the suspicion of the authorities. The incident was reported to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security, Major-General Abdul Hameed Al-Awadi, who instructed the Director of the e-money crimes department Major-General Faraj Al-Zubi to investigate the incident.

According to security sources a team was formed to gather information about the procurement company and came to the conclusion that the point of sale did not exist in the company. However, it was located to a Diwaniya in the Capital which had been turned by the four men into an office. The suspects whose ages range between 23 and 24 have been referred to the concerned authorities, while the investigations into their activities continue.

Car, cash stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing the car of an Egyptian man which was parked in front of his home in Maidan Hawalli, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the complainant in the car there was money - KD 2,450 and $2,000 inside the car.
