Liquor peddlers held

KUWAIT CITY, May 28: Jahra securitymen arrested eight individuals who were wanted by law for civil and criminal cases, and seized four vehicles during security campaigns that they launched on Kabad Road based on instructions from Jahra Security Director Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah.

Sources stressed that such security campaigns will be launched in all areas of Jahra Governorate to maintain its security. Meanwhile, Farwaniya securitymen arrested two Bangladeshi expatriates in possession of 54 bottles of locally brewed liquor.

According to security sources, Farwaniya securitymen were patrolling the areas at night when they noticed the suspects standing in front of a building. As they approached closer, the two suspects started running, causing securitymen to chase them. After stopping them, securitymen checked them to find 54 bottles of locally brewed liquor with them. They admitted that they were planning to sell the liquor for KD 5 per bottle.
