Travelers cheques forgery Syrian kingpin nabbed

Kingpin held: Security personnel of the Ministry of Interior have arrested what they called the most dangerous leader of a gang which specialized in forging travelers’ cheques, reports Al-Shahed daily.

According to a security source, the security authorities received confidential information about a parcel which was apparently sent from an unidentified East Asian country containing forged travelers’ cheques. Security officers in coordination with the customs officers found the parcel contained more than 20 forged travelers’ checks.

Based on the address of the recipient, police set a trap and arrested the main Syrian suspect who has admitted to receiving forged checks from an international gang.

Bullets with Indian: Customs officers at the Kuwaiti International Airport have arrested an unidentified Indian for possessing 29 Kalashnikov rifle bullets, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources the Indian was on his way to a GCC state and during interrogation he claimed the bullets belong to the son of his sponsor an employee of the Special Forces department. The son of the sponsor has been summoned for interrogation and the Indian has been referred to the authorities.
