65,000 travel bans Death row Bangladeshi held

KUWAIT CITY, May 27: Statistics issued by the Sentences Enforcement Department at the Palace of Justice show the department in 2013 dealt with 2.3 million final court verdicts, of which 65,000 were travel bans, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Death row Bangladeshi held: Police have arrested a Bangladeshi who is believed to be in his 40s, who had been sentenced to death in absentia, reports Al-Rai daily. According to a security source, personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department acting on information raided the home of the suspect in Sulaibiya, arrested him and referred him to authorities. The daily did not give more details.
