Citizens, expats security vital - ‘Raids to end crimes will continue’

KUWAIT CITY, May 26: The Acting Hawally Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Al- Ajmi affirmed the importance of preserving security for all citizens and expatriates of Kuwait based on instructions from the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled as well as the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Mahmoud Al- Dousari.

In a press statement, Brigadier Al- Ajmi indicated that the Public Security Sector will continue to hold surprise security campaigns in different areas of Hawally Governorate to eliminate crimes and other such negative phenomena.

He revealed that 1,272 tasks were carried out including the arrest of 23 violators of Residency law, 28 individuals without their identification documents or who were wanted by law, 50 individuals reported as absconding and 15 individuals involved in civil cases during security campaigns held in the governorate between May 18 and May 24.

He added that they also arrested 10 drug addicts, issued 81 citations against various traffic violations, provided 120 assistances and issued 417 reports during the campaigns.
