Plan to use more helicopters in rescue ops, tracking criminals Probe under way as two corpses found

KUWAIT CITY, May 25: An Asian was found dead in his room in the house of his sponsor in Sharq. According to security sources, the victim’s sponsor called police after finding him dead in his room. The sponsor also told police that the victim was completely naked. His corpse was referred to Forensics. A case was registered and investigations are underway to determine the actual cause of death.

Plan for more choppers: The Ministry of Interior plans to press into its operations sector more choppers, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting reliable sources. The daily added the ministry had earlier conducted a study in this regard and has come to the conclusion that the helicopters play an important role in search and rescue and evacuation operations. The sources added the Ministry is also studying the possibility of using helicopters to chase criminal and determine their location from above to avoid loss of live among innocent victims. The sources indicated police patrols in most cases give up chasing the suspects to prevent harm to motorists and pedestrians and the suspects manage to escape the law. The sources added with the use of helicopters the security authorities will be able to identify the location of the suspects without a chase.

Death probed: Hawally securitymen have intensified their efforts to unravel the mystery behind the death of a youth whose corpse was found inside his vehicle, which was parked in the parking area of Rumaithiya Cooperative Society. According to a security source, the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior received information about a person found lying unconscious inside a car. When the securitymen arrived at the scene, they opened the car and they found out the youth was already dead. Officers from the Criminal Evidence Department were notified about the incident and the remains of the youth were referred to Forensics. Initial investigations revealed the youth died four days ago. A case was registered and investigations are continuing to establish the actual circumstances leading to the youth’s death.
