Kuwaiti woman, daughter ‘assaulted’ at Nepal embassy

KUWAIT CITY, May 20: A 29-yearold Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Jabriya Police Station accusing officials at the Embassy of Nepal of assaulting her and her mother, reports Al-Shahed daily. The victim said she went with her mother to the embassy to look for their runaway housemaid and was involved in an argument with one official, who allegedly locked them inside the embassy and assaulted them. The woman has submitted two medical reports substantiating her claim. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been informed about the incident.

99 years in prison: The Special Task force which was formed recently to arrest people wanted by law and those sentenced in absentia, have arrested an unidentified Iraqi woman who had been sentenced to 99 years in prison, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the woman had also been sentenced to life imprisonment for smuggling drugs into the country
