Six girls detained: Six university-age girls in the Social Welfare Home have been detained at Shuwaikh Industrial Area Police Station due to a complaint lodged by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor that one of them broke the surveillance camera within the premises of the welfare home in Sulaibikhat. Attorney Lul’wa Al-Qallaf expressed surprise that the ministry, represented by the Social Affairs Home, filed the complaint against the university girls without resolving the matter amicably before referring the matter to the authorities. She said the home is supposed to stand as a pillar for the girls and whenever they make mistakes, it should be able to handle the situation internally. She disclosed the officials called police to arrest the girls from the welfare home without considering their situation. She added the girls, during the arrest, were about to take the exams; while one of them is suffering from cancer. She lamented the ministry ignored all points, resulting in the detention of the girls.
