Elderly Kuwaiti citizen hangs himself to death at home

KUWAIT CITY, May 16: A 59-year old Kuwaiti citizen committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope inside his house in Red Palace area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the incident, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location. They brought down the corpse and referred it to the Forensics Department. The victim’s son informed securitymen that his father was suffering from psychological problems and was on medication from a private medical clinic.

A case was registered for further investigations. Meanwhile, an Arab expatriate was arrested for forging documents of technical inspection for which he charged expatriates KD 50 each. According to security sources, when securitymen from Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station received information about an Arab expatriate who charged expatriates KD 50 each for forged documents of technical inspection of their vehicles, a team was formed to observe him.

After confirming that he forged stamps used during technical inspection of vehicles, securitymen sent an undercover agent to him under the pretext of renewal of registration book of a vehicle. While receiving the money and submitting the document, the suspect was arrested. During interrogations, he confessed that he forged several such documents for the vehicles of expatriates.

Necessary action was taken against him and he was referred to the Public Prosecution In another development, an unidentified individual sustained several injuries and bruises throughout his body after his vehicle collided with another at Doha Intersection area. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred the victim to Jahra Hospital for treatment. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to the accident
