Kuwaiti woman among gang of 3 busted for stealing cars

KUWAIT CITY, May 15: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti woman who is believed to be in her late 20s, a young male compatriot who is believed to be a former criminal and are looking for another youth for stealing luxury cars belonging to Kuwaitis, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources the woman would visit cafés to smoke sheesha and single out wealthy looking male persons and befriend them.

Then she would remain in touch with them for a few days, look for an opportunity and steal the car keys and give the keys to the other two men who always followed her and lay in wait.

The other two men would then change the numbers plate and even color when necessary. The woman, according to security sources received between KD 1,000 and KD 1,500 for each operation. After the Ministry of Interior received complaints, securitymen intensified their efforts and succeeded in arresting the woman who in turn provided police information about the two accomplices. She also admitted to committing four thefts. One of the accomplices is in police custody and are looking for the other.

Woman swindled: Ayoung Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with General Department for Criminal Investigation against a Jordanian black magician accusing him of fraud and swindling her, reports Al-Rai daily. The woman said she was frustrated when her lover left her and fell in love with another woman. The suspect made her believe that he can bring back her love for KD 4,000 and the woman agreed. She waited for several days for her lover to come back but nothing happened The suspect was arrested after she gave police information about the suspect. Police found on his person KD 20,000 at the time of arrest.

Lebanese cheated: An unidentified Lebanese has filed a complaint with the police accusing a Canadian woman of cheating him, reports Al- Kuwaitiah daily. The man told police the woman took money from him to complete paperwork and process his papers to help him migrate to Australia. He added, after the papers were processed, she refused to hand over the papers to him. A case has been filed through a lawyer and the woman has been summoned for interrogation.

Woman swindled: An unidentified Iranian woman has filed a complaint with the Fahaheel Police Station accusing a company of fraud and swindling her, reports Al-Anba daily. The complainant told police the company informed her that she had won value KD 600 in prize money during a random draw and the company asked her to deposit KD 200 to avail the prize money. She added after she received the prize and paid KD 200, she discovered she had been fooled because the prize was a cell phone worth KD 50. Police are investigating.
