Police imposter caught

KUWAIT CITY, May 13: Police have arrested an unidentified person for impersonating police and possessing drugs, reports Al-Rai daily. He was also wanted by law for possessing drugs. The daily added, the arrest came after police received several calls from passers-by in Mahboula who claimed they had been robbed by a ‘policeman’. A security officer in plainclothes approached the impersonator and asked why the man had stopped an Asian.

The impersonator claimed he was a security officer and when the plainclothes officer showed his ID, the impersonator was shocked and attempted to escape. The officer then arrested the man and seized from his car narcotic pills, a piece of hashish, a flasher and IDs of several people. Police later discovered he was wanted by law in connection with 10 crimes

Wife kicks out man: An Arab man has filed a complaint with the Salmiya police accusing his compatriot wife of assaulting him and throwing him out of the house, reports Al-Rai daily. The husband has submitted a medical report showing injury to the head and several bruises. The wife will be summoned for interrogation.
