Asian expats caught gambling on roof

KUWAIT CITY, May 13: A Kuwaiti citizen discovered six Asian expatriates gambling using searchlight on the rooftop of a house in Qasser area late at night. Security sources said the citizen notified the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry that six Asians were gambling on the rooftop of a house in Qasser and a team of policemen rushed to the scene. Apparently, the house has been rented out to several families and the gamblers were caught on the rooftop. Sources said one of the suspects tried in vain to escape. They have since been referred to the concerned authorities.

Meanwhile, an Indian expatriate sustained head injuries when the oil tanker he was driving toppled in Doha Intersection. Paramedics referred the injured driver to Jahra Hospital for treatment while firefighters shifted the vehicle from the road. Three Kuwaiti citizens and an Indian expatriate sustained injuries due to a traffic accident on Sixth Ring Road. They were referred to Jahra Hospital for treatment. In addition, a 57-year-old Saudi national sustained head injuries when his vehicle toppled on Salmi Road. He was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit of Jahra Hospital
