Citations for parking at place for disabled, using phones

 KUWAIT CITY, May 12: The General Traffic Department issued 900 citations against various traffic violations and seized 40 vehicles during traffic campaigns that they carried out in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Dajeej and Airport areas under the guidance of the Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Major General Abdul Fattah Al-Ali. According to sources, 19 citations were issued against vehicles that were parked in spots allotted for the disabled in Kuwait International Airport. The officers also issued 101 citations against those who used mobile phones while driving, 136 citations against the vehicles parked in banned areas and 224 citations against those who did not wear seat belts while driving. Campaigns were also held in Dajeej and Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh areas. Sources affirmed that such campaigns will continue in all areas to arrest the violators of law and traffic rules.

Heroin with Asians: An Asian expatriate was arrested in Salmiya area in possession of 150 grams of heroin, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to security sources, when securitymen received information about an Asian expatriate involved in drug peddling, they conducted investigations and confirmed the information. After obtaining the warrant, securitymen arrested the Asian expatriate. During interrogations, he confessed to the crime, explaining that he never sold the drugs directly to his clients. He used to place them at particular locations after receiving the money and his clients used to pick up the drugs from those locations. He used a number of telephone lines for his activities. He revealed that the drugs belonged to him. He was referred with the drugs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
