3 suspects arrested in connection with the robbery and shooting death of two Indian security guards in Sulaibiya vegetable market
All caught in robbery, murder of guards

KUWAIT CITY, May 11: All suspects in the armed robbery incident that happened in the vegetable market at Sulaibiya about 16 days ago, in which two Indian guards working for a money transportation company were shot and killed, have been arrested, security sources said.

The suspects — a Syrian (18 years old), a Bedoun (21 years old), and a Kuwaiti (20 years old) believed to have hidden the stolen KD 13,000 was found in possession of KD 10,400 cash and a Kalashnikov during arrest.

According to Security Information Department of the Interior Ministry, security operatives from Jahra have arrested all members of the gang that conducted the robbery in which two Asians assigned in the bullion van of a money transportation company were shot and killed by the main suspect, a Bedoun, with his accomplices, a Syrian and a Kuwaiti citizen.

The suspects had taken possession of a bag containing KD 13,000 — sale of the Vegetable Market in Kabad and shared among themselves.

The first suspect is said to have guided security operatives to the place where the murder weapon was kept, near to his apartment, while the third suspect led officers to the place he had hidden the rest of the money given to him by the second suspect. Also, the vehicle the suspects used in perpetrating the robbery was found at a farm in Sulaibiya area.

Security sources said the vehicle was burnt by the suspects in an attempt to conceal the crime. MP Kamel Al-Awadhi praised the officers in the Ministry of Interior, headed by Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled, for the arrest of the suspects in the vegetable market armed robbery which led to the killing of the two Indian guards. Al-Awadhi pointed out, “this new accomplishment by the police officers is considered a remarkable addition to their exemplary work as dedicated public servants. These officers deserve appreciation and gratitude.” He then called on the authorities to continue motivating the security officers to do their best in serving the country and its people
