Fake police officers rob KD 3,000 from Egyptian Indian fall to his death; corpse of Saudi found at beach

KUWAIT CITY, May 10: Two unknown individuals impersonated as police officers and robbed KD 3,000 from an Egyptian driver of a restaurant, reports Al-Anba daily. According to sources, the two suspects in a jeep ordered him to stop while he was driving after midnight.

They presented IDs to show they are police officers, handcuffed him and forced him to sit in their vehicle. They then told him they found a sachet of heroin in his vehicle and took KD 3,000 from his wallet. When he asked them to show their IDs, they threw him on the ground and fled from the location in their vehicle.

The victim lodged a complaint at the nearest police station and officers from General Department for Criminal Evidences lifted fingerprints from the wallet to identify the suspects. Indian dies in fall: An Indian expatriate died after he fell from the third floor of a building under construction in Mahboula area, reports Al-Rai daily. The corpse was referred to the Forensics Department and investigations are ongoing to determine the reason for his fall.

Meanwhile, the corpse of a 39-year old Saudi citizen was found at a beach near Belajat Street, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources, the corpse has traces of assault and bruises throughout his body. Acase was registered and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of his death
