Bank loan/travel ban

I have a question: I am an expatriate and have taken a loan from a local bank. I want to know if the authorities can impose a travel ban on a person who is behind on his payments to the bank by three months.

Name withheld
Answer:
Yes, such a ban can be imposed if the request for such an action comes from the bank. The authorities will not act independently, they will wait for word from the bank and then decide whether to accept or reject that request. In all probability such a request will be accepted and a travel ban imposed on you.
