‘Some’ students told to quit UAE

KUWAIT CITY, May 5: The National Union for Kuwaiti Students will close its new branch in UAE after the Emirati security authorities demanded many Kuwaiti students to leave the country due to their alleged connection with the Muslim Brotherhood, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.

They explained that the security authorities had summoned these students for investigations over some of their political and cultural activities especially after they had earlier issued direct orders to stop any political activities by students in the universities. They added that about 1,200 Kuwaiti students are currently studying in the 80 universities throughout United Arab Emirates.
