No criminal can get away with crime: Interior ‘Gang arrest a lesson’

KUWAIT CITY, May 3: “The security and stability of the country is a priority for all of us,” says Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khalid regarding the arrest of a gang suspected to be involved in the recent armed robbery at the Vegetable Market in Sulaibiya area.

He indicated that a comprehensive security plan has been formed to counter crimes and arrest criminals in a short time. In a press statement, Sheikh Al-Khalid said, “We will exert our best efforts to combat crime in the country regardless of its kind and source.

We will also pursue and arrest those responsible for planning and committing the crimes. The arrest of the criminals involved in the Vegetable Market case indicates that criminals can never get away with their crimes despite the delay in arresting them.”

He reassured Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates by saying, “The Ministry of Interior and all its agencies are exerting maximum efforts to prevent and curb crimes in order to maintain security and peace in the country”.

He warned that those who attempt to weaken the security and peace of the country or any of its domains will be severely punished. Sheikh Al-Khaled urged the officials of Interior Ministry to closely monitor the security situation of the country and apprehend those who try to create disorder in the society, affirming, “Any change of officials will be carried out based on the public interests.”
