Asian trio held selling recycled stamps Just-married couple robbed

KUWAIT CITY, May 1: Three Asians have been referred to Sabahiya Police Station for selling recycled revenue stamps, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said the Director of Citizen Service Offices in Ahmadi was paying a surprise visit to the Ahmadi center and arrested two Asians selling revenue stamps worth KD 10 each. When the director questioned one of the suspects, he said he bought them from a compatriot working at the Sabahiya Cooperative Society. Police have arrested both the buyer and the seller and referred them for interrogation.

Meanwhile, police are looking for an unidentified burglar who broke into the home of a newlymarried Kuwaiti couple and escaped with jewelry worth KD 10,000, reports Al-Rai daily. The robbery took place just 48 hours after the marriage. A case has been registered with the Rumaithiya Police Station and personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
