VIVA concludes Football League 1st season Qadsia Sporting Club crowned champions

KUWAIT CITY, April 29: VIVA, Kuwait’s fastest-growing telecom operator, concluded the first season of the VIVA Football League that started in April 2013. VIVA congratulated and extended its best wishes for continued success to the Qadsia Sporting Club that was crowned League champion. VIVA’s Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Salman Al-Badran, also handed out the shields and medals to the winning team. Commenting on the conclusion of the first Dawri VIVA season, Al-Badran said: “We are very pleased with the success of the first season of Dawri VIVA. We will work hard to improve the next four seasons in collaboration with the Kuwait Football Association (KFA). We also promise to give our Kuwaiti football fans more surprises in the upcoming seasons, after a thorough examination of this season’s outcomes, allowing us to build on the benefits of which we are proud and avoid drawbacks.”

“A salute to all participating teams in Dawri VIVA and congratulations to the Qadsia Sporting Club on winning this season’s championship. I wish all other participants the best of luck in the upcoming seasons,” added Al-Badran. Since its inception, VIVA has regularly made concerted efforts to support the sports industry and has worked on expanding the sport movement and the promotion of Kuwaiti national teams as part of its corporate social strategy. VIVA also sponsored Manchester United club, and developed a number of exciting promotional offers to provide football fans with the chance to win VIP tickets to watch Manchester United play at Old Trafford in England. 

In addition, VIVA offers young athletes the opportunity to join training programs at the Manchester United Soccer Academy and help them fulfill their dreams of becoming among the best football players.  At the beginning of the first season, VIVA rebranded the league and revealed the new Dawri VIVA shields and anthem orchestra music that will be played in all future matches in which the national team will be participating. In conclusion, Al Badran said: “I would like to thank the KFA officials, especially Sheikh Dr. Talal Al Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, for giving VIVA the opportunity to be the official sponsor of the Kuwaiti league and share its vision of developing players in all facets of football and work hand in hand towards a better future in sports.”
