The two ‘bedoun’ and stolen items seized
Two held in muggings, theft

KUWAIT CITY, April 29: Two Bedoun men were arrested in Khaitan area for waylaying and robbing pedestrians, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to a security source, Khaitan Police Station received a number of calls from some pedestrians in the area about two unknown individuals waylaying and robbing them. A team of officers from Khaitan Police Station and Public Security Sector were formed for investigations. After searching the area, they managed to arrest the suspects while they were robbing an expatriate.

Securitymen searched them to find sharp objects, a taser and forged military identity cards. After the victims identified the suspects, the latter were referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for further investigations.

In another development, Ahmadi securitymen arrested 97 wanted individuals, seized 15 vehicles and issued 34 traffic citations during a sudden security campaign in Ahmadi area, reports Al-Seyassah daily. In a press statement, Ahmadi Security Directorate explained that the Acting Director General of Ahmadi Security Directorate Brigadier Ali Al-Mari and other high-ranking officials led a campaign in several areas of the governorate during which they arrested seven individuals in possession of drugs and seven individuals in possession of 270 bottles of locally brewed liquor.
