Two Egyptian expats caught with drugs, liquor Asian held with 80 bottles of home-brew

KUWAIT CITY, April 22: Two Egyptian expatriates were arrested in possession of drugs and liquor near Al-Bida’a Roundabout. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen led by Lt Colonel Saad Al-Rujeib were at a security checkpoint near Al-Bida’a Roundabout when they noticed an individual driving his ‘Mitsubishi’ vehicle in the wrong direction of the one-way road. They stopped the vehicle and checked the Civil IDs of the two occupants to discover they are Egyptians.

They checked the vehicle and found an envelope containing heroin and three ‘Roush’ pills. They also found a bottle of liquor and KD 800. The two suspects were arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen was arrested in Salmiya in possession of ‘Shabu’ drug and nine narcotic pills.

According to a security source, Hawally traffic officers were patrolling Salmiya area when they noticed a pedestrian who tried to walk away immediately after seeing the patrol vehicle. They stopped him for checking his Civil ID and discovered he is a Kuwaiti citizen.

They checked him and found ‘Shabu’ drug and nine narcotic pills. He was arrested and referred with the drugs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.

Meanwhile, the Ahmadi police have arrested an unidentified Asian for possessing 80 bottles of locallymanufactured booze. The suspect was arrested in Fahaheel.

The bootlegger and the contraband have been referred to the General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control. And, Hawally police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti for possessing drugs and impersonating police. The suspect was arrested in Salmiya. The suspect and the drugs have been referred to the concerned authorities.
