CID officer beaten by family of Bedoun in Andalus melee

KUWAIT CITY, April 21: Six Bedoun men were arrested for attacking a Kuwaiti citizen who works at the General Department for Criminal Evidences when he tried to enter their house in Andalous area, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from a Bedoun woman that an unknown individual was trying to force himself into her house in Andalous area to attack her son, securitymen rushed to the location and found a Kuwaiti citizen in front of the house.

His clothes were torn and he was bleeding from his face. When they checked his Civil ID, they discovered that he is a Kuwaiti citizen who works at the General Department for Criminal Evidences.

When questioned, he explained that six men attacked him when he entered the house. Securitymen asked the owner of the house and the six men to step out of the house.

They checked their identification documents and discovered they are Bedoun. Securitymen referred them to Andalous Police Station for investigations.

During interrogations, the Kuwaiti citizen said the brother of the owner of the house requested him to go to the house and take the vehicle, which was his inheritance.

When he knocked the door of the house and requested for the key of the vehicle, he was shocked when the six suspects attacked him, pulled him into the house, robbed him of KD 220 from his wallet and his military identity card and abused him.

A case was registered against the six suspects and necessary action was taken against them.
