Jobless expat trio in major cash theft Man, girlfriend caught drunk

 KUWAIT CITY, April 16: The Farwaniya police have arrested three jobless expatriates — an Egyptian, a Jordanian and a Pakistani — for breaking into the car of a travel agency company representative and stealing KD 17,000, reports Al- Jaridah daily. During interrogation the suspects are said to have admitted to the charge. They also said they spent the money on hiring expensive cars, buying drugs and living in luxury hotels.

The mandoub had earlier complained to the Khaitan police that the money was hidden behind the car seat and as he went to collect more money, the suspects broke into the vehicle and escaped with the cash. The arrest came when police received information from a secret agent that a jobless Egyptian had overnight become rich and was spending money lavishly. Following his arrest, he admitted to the charge and gave police the names of his accomplices.

Duo caught drunk: The Southern Highway Patrolmen have taken into custody a Kuwaiti man and his seminude female companion for drinking alcohol and seized from them two bottles of imported booze, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily quoting security sources said the ‘drunkards’ were spotted on the Chalets Road by the patrolmen during routine inspection of the area. The daily added, the man behind the wheel was initially ordered to stop for reckless driving. The duo has been referred to the concerned authorities.
