Al-Sadiq Medical Center will be ready in two weeks CSC approves allowances for radiographers

 KUWAIT CITY, April 12: Director of Hawally Health Zone Abdulaziz Al-Farhoud revealed that Al-Sadiq Medical Center will be ready within two weeks and the Dialysis Center will be inaugurated within 45 days. He also added that the West Mishref Medical Center will be ready in three months, which will reduce the pressure experienced in the current Mishref Medical center. He declared this on the sidelines of the Awareness Day, which was organized by Bayan Medical Center recently. Al-Farhoud explained that the Awareness Day was organized to spread awareness about chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, ways to prevent these diseases and different treatment methods.

Meanwhile, Director of Al- Sabah Health Zone Dr Adel Asfour announced the launch of five projects in Al-Sabah Health Zone, revealing that the projects have already started even though they were not officially inaugurated, reports Al-Rai daily. He explained that the projects include building more Intensive Care Units and operation theatres in Sabah Hospital as well as rehabilitating a number of wings of Kuwait Psychiatry Center. Meanwhile, Dr Asfour declared the launch of Sabah Kidney and Urinary Tract Center in Al-Sabah Health Zone, making it one of the specialized medical centers in the health zone.

In another development, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has approved to grant danger and infection allowances to radiographers in various medical sectors of Ministry of Health, reports Al- Anba daily quoting informed sources. However, they revealed that CSC refused to grant pollution and noise allowances, as the nature of their work does not expose them to such issues. They clarified that the categories eligible for receiving danger and infection allowances are X-Ray Technician, Assistant X-Ray Technician, Primary Radiologist, Scan Practitioner, Nuclear Medicine X-Ray Technician and Assistant Nuclear Medicine X-Ray Technician.
