Canadian woman harassed; Kidnap bid foiled

KUWAIT CITY, April 11: A Canadian woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the Andalus Police Station, accusing a man of harassing and attempting to molest her, reports Al- Rai daily. She told police the suspect had been following her and entered a commercial complex and tried to give her his phone number. When she refused to take the number he allegedly touched her body and escaped. Police are looking for the suspect based on the description given by the woman of the suspect and his car.

Kidnap bid foiled: A Kuwaiti woman, who is believed to be in her 30s and whose identity has not been given, escaped unhurt when an unidentified youth attempted to kidnap her when she was alone behind a commercial complex in Salmiya, reports Al-Rai daily. In her complaint the victim said the suspect is her friend and she was friendly with him. She added, the youth convinced her to walk with him to discuss some issues and when they were alone, he told her they should go an isolated spot and when she refused he grabbed her by the hand and tried to push her in his car. When she refused, the suspect reportedly escaped from the scene. Police are looking for the youth
