Kuwaiti blames Bangladeshi for molesting 10-year-old daughter

KUWAIT CITY, April 6: A Kuwaiti man lodged a complaint against a Bangladeshi, who works at a famous entertainment park in Jahra; accusing him of harassing his 10-year-old daughter. The complainant told police he found his daughter crying and when he asked her the reason, she said the Bangladeshi worker touched certain parts of her body while she was playing at the park.

A case was registered and the Bangladeshi was arrested as per the instruction of the Public Prosecution. Investigations are ongoing to verify the complaint and to take legal action against the Bangladeshi if proven guilty.

Meanwhile, a team of Jahra securitymen, headed by Director of Jahra Security Directorate Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarah, arrested a person accused of stealing cars, and several others for their involvement in financial and civil cases. Officers assigned at a checkpoint along Saad Al-Abdullah noticed the erratic movement of a Japanese-made vehicle, so they signalled for the driver to pull over. When the officers checked details of the vehicle, they discovered it has been reported stolen. This led to the arrest of the driver who was referred to the concerned security department for questioning and other legal action.

Meanwhile, the officers also arrested some persons wanted by law for committing civil and financial crimes; in addition to the issuance of 24 traffic citations. And, Jahra securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti and a Bedoun youth for the possession of two bottles of imported liquor and 322 ‘Kabti’ pills; in addition to cash amounting to KD5,800; SAR43,000, 22 Iraqi riyals, five Syrian lira and one dollar. While patrolling in Jahra, the securitymen got suspicious when they noticed the erratic movement of a vehicle. Upon approaching the vehicle for inspection, the officers demanded for the identification documents of the driver and his companion - a Kuwaiti and a Bedoun youth respectively. The officers observed the suspects looked agitated, so they searched the car thoroughly, leading to the discovery of the abovementioned items. The suspects were then referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
