‘Huge pile of files slows Labour solutions’

KUWAIT CITY, March 30: Undersecretary at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Abdulmohsen Al-Mutairi has said the ministry refers to the General Investigation Department every two weeks tens of companies that violate the law, adding the legal sub-committee headed by Badriya Al-Mekaimi is empowered to endorse letters to expedite legal action against these companies, reports Alam Al-Yawm daily. He disclosed that Personnel Affairs Committee held a meeting to review and decide on hundreds of efficiency reports in line with law and the recommendation of Civil Service Commission.

He pointed out that Social Care Sector employs over 5,000 personnel and time is needed to review all files accurately in order to do justice to them all. He indicated the minister’s keenness to ease procedures by decentralization and empowering all top ministry officials to facilitate the work. He stressed that the empowerment of assistant undersecretaries by the minister is part of efforts to remove all hindrances against smooth operation, and that the ministry still applies the cooperation law with its modifications.
