Police officers stabbed as brothers help criminal flee

KUWAIT CITY, March 28: Police have detained an unidentified former convict and his two brothers - one of them working for the General Department Criminal Investigation - for helping their brother escape the law, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the main suspect was driving a vehicle without number plate and when a police patrol ordered him to pull over he refused and instead drove straight to his home. When police went to his house they were involved in an argument with the man and as tempers flared he stabbed the officers. When the officers attempted to handcuff him, the brothers intervened and helped him escape.

Filipino’s car snatched: Police have arrested three people - two Kuwaitis and a citizen of an unidentified GCC state - for possessing narcotic pills and stealing a car from a Filipino, reports Al- Anba daily. Following a complaint filed by the victim, police set up checkpoints at various suspect places in the area and managed to arrest the suspect. It has been reported the suspects were involved in a hot chase with police.

Indian’s car stolen: An unidentified Indian man has filed a complaint with the Salmiya police accusing an unidentified person of stealing his car, reports Al-Anba daily. The victim in his complaint said the suspect pulled out a gun and ordered him to pull over and ordered to step out of the car. He then got behind the steering wheel and drove off. Police are looking for the suspect and the car.
