Police discover 2 decaying bodies in Udaira and Riggae

KUWAIT CITY, March 27: The partially decomposed corpse of a shepherd was discovered near Al-Leyah Road in Al-Udaira area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about a corpse in Adrirah area, Jahra securitymen rushed to the location. They discovered that the victim had died many days ago, while the corpse had partially decomposed and was covered with sand. Initial investigations revealed that the victim was a shepherd and was wearing a dishdasha at the time of death. The corpse was referred to the Forensics Department and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the death. Meanwhile, the decayed corpse of a Kuwaiti citizen was found inside a flat of a residential building in Riggae area. Sources revealed that the tenants of the building notified the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior when they detected a foul smell in the building. Securitymen rushed to the location and forced open the door to a flat from where the stench was emanating to find a decayed corpse lying on the floor. Investigations revealed that the corpse belonged to a Kuwaiti citizen in his 40s who died of natural causes. The corpse was referred to the Forensics Department for autopsy.

Bedoun nabbed: A Bedoun youth has been arrested in possession of a Kalashnikov weapon and ammunition, which was used in the shooting incidents in Taima and Sulaibiya areas last week, reports Al-Seyassah daily. In a press release issued by the Ministry of Interior, the Media Security Department explained that Jahra securitymen has been conducting intensive investigations to arrest the suspects involved in the shooting incidents and seize their weapons and ammunition. It revealed that the securitymen had arrested 14 Bedoun men, two Syrians and a Kuwaiti citizen at the time of the incident for shooting at the patrol vehicles and the officers, and seized four vehicles, their weapons and ammunition. It affirmed that investigations will continue to arrest the remaining suspects.

Stabbings foiled: The Northern Highway patrolmen have arrested an unidentified person for allegedly attempting to stab two Syrians during a fight at a petrol station, reports Al- Watan Arabic daily. Acting on information police rushed to the spot and controlled the suspect who appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
